RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed eight terrorists, among them a high-value target, in an intelligence-driven operation in North Waziristan.
As per the ISPR statement, the operation was carried out overnight between the 17th and 18th of March based on intelligence regarding terrorist presence.
“In the course of the operation, following a fierce exchange of fire, eight terrorists, including the high-value target terrorist commander Sehra also known as Janan, were neutralized,” the official statement stated.
Sehra was implicated in planning the terrorist assault on Security Forces’ Post in Mir Ali on March 16 and was a prime target for law enforcement agencies (LEAs).
Sanitization operations are underway to root out any remaining terrorists in the area, as the Security Forces of Pakistan remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the nation.
On March 16, during an attack on security forces’ post in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, seven individuals, including two Pakistan Army officers, were killed by terrorists.
