Funeral prayers for Lt. Col. Kashif Ali and Capt. Badar offered in Rawalpindi

RAWALPIDNI: The funeral prayers for Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali Shaheed and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar Shaheed, who were martyred while defending their homeland against terrorism in Mir Ali, North Waziristan District, took place at Chaklala Garrison Rawalpindi on Sunday.

According to ISPR, President Asif Ali Zardari, along with the foreign minister, interior minister, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff committee, chief of army staff, senior serving military and civil officers, relatives of the martyrs, and local residents, attended the funeral.

In his remarks, the president stated, “The Pakistan Army has consistently upheld the ideals of Faith, Unity, and Discipline. Guided by these enduring principles, the Pakistan Army has always strived to set higher benchmarks of professionalism and loyalty in its relentless fight against terrorism.

This noble sacrifice serves as another testament to the unwavering resolve of our brave sons, who have never hesitated to offer the ultimate sacrifice for the defense of our Motherland. The entire nation stands in solidarity with our Armed Forces.”

The bodies of the martyrs have been transported to their respective hometowns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors.
