Federal Minister Ataullah Tarar Emphasizes Positive Journalism and Government-Media Collaboration

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar took charge of his office on Tuesday.

Upon arrival at his office in the Ministry of Information, he was welcomed by Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Shahira Shahid and other senior officials of the ministry.

Speaking on the occasion, Ataullah Tarar said that the doors of the Ministry of Information will remain open for the journalist community. He stressed the need for promoting positive and constructive journalism and strengthening the relationship between the government and the media.

Tarar pledged to work closely with the media to disseminate government initiatives and policies to the public. He said that the media plays the role of a bridge between the people and the government, and there is a need to play this role more effectively.

A distinguished leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Ataullah Tarar brings a wealth of experience, having played a pivotal role in advocating for the party’s narrative and defending its policies on the media front during challenging periods. Recently elected as a member of the National Assembly from NA-127 Lahore, he officially took the oath as a federal minister at a ceremony held at the President’s House on Monday.
