BISP Unveils Fiscal Year 2022-23 Progress in Annual Reports

ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has unveiled its yearly reports for the fiscal year 2022-23, showcasing advancements and accomplishments in key projects such as the National Socio-Economic Registry, BISP Taleemi Wazaif (CCT Education), and BISP Nashonuma (CCT Health & Nutrition).

Amer Ali Ahmed, Secretary of BISP, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, expressing appreciation for their ongoing support and cooperation. He reiterated BISP’s dedication to transparency and its central objective of extending additional assistance to the most deserving households nationwide.

The Secretary of BISP apprised development partners that financial aid to 9.3 million households has been raised to Rs10,500 quarterly.

Underlining the importance of transparency, Amer Ali Ahmed stressed the credibility and dependability of BISP’s data, crediting it for the program’s success.

Furthermore, he revealed the expansion of the payment mechanism through collaboration with six banks, up from two previously. This initiative aims to ensure the efficient utilization of resources, with an estimated saving of Rs2 billion, which will be redirected towards core initiatives.
