The match encountered a rain delay after 11 overs into Pakistan’s innings, with Fakhar Zaman at the crease with 14 runs and Mohammad Rizwan at one run. At that point, Pakistan had accumulated 44 runs for the loss of two wickets.

Originally postponed due to rain in Kolbo on Sunday, the match faced another delay on the reserve day on Monday, also due to rain. The Indian team started their batting innings at a score of 147 for the loss of two wickets in 24.1 overs.

India ultimately posted a total of 356 runs for the loss of two wickets in their allotted 50 overs, courtesy of outstanding centuries by Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. Pakistani bowlers failed to secure any wickets on Monday.

Earlier, upon the arrival of the Pakistan and Indian teams at the stadium, rain began to fall. Although the rain subsided after a few hours, there was no reduction in the overs played.

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf did not participate in the match against India on the reserve day due to a side strain.

On the preceding Sunday, the national team captain, Babar Azam, won the toss and elected to field first. During India’s batting innings of 24.1 overs, opener Rohit Sharma scored 56 runs, and Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed after accumulating 58 runs.
