ISLAMABAD: The anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has approved the bail for Iman Mazari, the daughter of former minister Shireen Mazari.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court heard the bail application in the case registered against Iman Mazari at Bara Kahu police station. During the hearing, Iman’s lawyer, Zainab Janjua, presented arguments, while the police prosecutor, Raja Naveed, was present.
After considering the arguments from both parties, the court granted bail to Iman Mazari, requiring a surety bond of 10,000 rupees.
It is worth noting that on August 28, the Islamabad court granted bail to Iman Mazari in the sedition and incitement case, leading to her release from Adiala Jail.
However, immediately following her release, Islamabad police arrested Iman Mazari in a case registered at Bara Kahu police station.
On the other hand, the Islamabad High Court has extended the order, preventing Iman Mazari from being taken out of Islamabad and ensuring she is not arrested in any case beyond August 20.
