Passing Marks for Matric and Intermediate Exams Nationwide Raised to 40 Percent

ISLAMABAD : Education Boards Agree to Set Minimum Passing Marks at 40 Percent. During a two-day committee meeting comprising four education board chairmen from across the country, a comprehensive agenda consisting of 21 points was discussed, and crucial decisions were reached.

Minimum Passing Marks Established at 40 Percent

In the meeting, the committee unanimously decided to establish the minimum passing marks at 40 percent for all education boards nationwide. This decision aims to maintain a standardized benchmark for student performance across the country.

Mandatory Quran Study for Muslim Students

Additionally, it was agreed upon that the study of Quran would be made mandatory for Muslim students enrolled in Matriculation and Intermediate programs. This decision reflects an emphasis on religious education and aims to promote cultural and religious values among students.

Introduction of Standardized Result Cards

Furthermore, the board chairmen collectively decided to introduce a standardized result card throughout the country. This measure aims to bring uniformity and consistency in reporting student performance across different education boards, facilitating easier evaluation and comparison.

Rescheduling Examination Period to May-June

In an effort to streamline the examination process, it was also agreed to reschedule the examination period from March-April to May-June. This adjustment allows for more effective preparation time for students and ensures a more conducive testing environment, considering various factors such as weather conditions.

Balochistan Board Assumes Interboard Sports Committee Chairmanship

In a separate resolution, the committee designated the Chairman of the Interboard Sports Committee for the current year. The esteemed position was awarded to the Balochistan Board, which will assume the responsibility of overseeing interboard sports activities. This decision aims to promote sportsmanship and healthy competition among students from different education boards.

By implementing these decisions, the education boards strive to enhance educational standards, promote religious education, improve evaluation practices, and foster a well-rounded educational experience for students across the country.
