Hamad Azam and Ehsan Adel Retire from International Cricket

In a significant development in Pakistani cricket, all-rounder Hamad Azam and fast bowler Ehsan Adel have officially announced their retirement from international cricket. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) extended congratulations to both players, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the sport and wishing them success in their future endeavors.

Hamad Azam’s International Career and Domestic Achievements

During his international career, Hamad Azam featured in 11 one-day internationals between 2011 and 2015, scoring 80 runs and taking 2 wickets. Additionally, he participated in 5 T20 international matches, amassing 34 runs. Notably, Hamad Azam represented Pakistan in the 2010 ICC U-19 World Cup held in New Zealand, showcasing his talent on a global stage.

In domestic cricket, Hamad Azam’s journey spanned from December 2008 to June 2021, where he accumulated an impressive record of 4,953 runs and claimed 11 wickets in 107 first-class matches. In list A ODI matches, he took 91 wickets in 114 appearances while contributing with 2,362 runs. In the T20 format, he scored 1,361 runs and took 75 wickets in 98 matches.

Ehsan Adel’s Test Career and Impressive Statistics

On the other hand, Ehsan Adel commenced his Test career against South Africa in February 2013 at Centurion, followed by two more Test appearances. In his brief Test career, he secured 5 wickets. In the ODI format, he played 6 matches and claimed 4 wickets. Similar to Hamad Azam, Ehsan Adel also represented Pakistan in the 2012 ICC U-19 World Cup. Prior to his international debut, he showcased his talent at the youth level during the tournament held in Astor yelaya.

Ehsan Adel’s domestic career spanned from March 2012 to October 2021, during which he took 245 wickets in 67 first-class matches. In list A ODI matches, he secured 98 wickets in 67 matches, and in T20Is, he displayed his prowess with 86 wickets in 68 matches.

The retirement of Hamad Azam and Ehsan Adel marks the end of two notable careers in Pakistani cricket, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by fans and fellow cricketers alike.
