ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) has taken action against 104 individuals who failed to pay their e-challan fines by suspending their driving licenses.
According to a PR officer’s statement on Monday, an additional 293 individuals who had violated traffic regulations submitted 4,044 e-challans and paid a total fine of Rs. 81 million. The department also issued 51,660 citations to motorcyclists who were found driving without helmets.

To enforce compliance, the ICTP is utilizing the Safe City cameras to track and impound the vehicles of e-challan defaulters at various police stations. The remaining defaulters are being notified via text messages and phone calls, urging them to promptly settle their fines.
