Thirteen Spinners and 11 Fast Bowlers to Participate in Specialized Men’s Camps:

Thirteen spinners and 11 fast bowlers are set to participate in specialized men’s camps at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore this month. The aim of these camps is to cultivate a strong and proficient core ahead of an upcoming season that promises both excitement and challenges. Additionally, 14 batters will join the two camps, scheduled from June 10th to 15th for spinners and June 16th to 21st for fast bowlers.

Preparation for Pakistan’s Two-Test Series in Sri Lanka:

The men’s national selection committee has extended invitations to players from the Pakistan men’s, Shaheens, and U19 teams. During the camps, these players will receive training under the guidance of coaches from the national team and the National Cricket Academy. These camps hold significant importance as they will aid the selectors in assembling the most competitive squad for Pakistan’s two-Test series in Sri Lanka in July. This series marks the national side’s initial undertaking in the third cycle of the World Test Championship.

Focused Training Sessions for Spinners and Fast Bowlers:

By organizing separate camps for spinners and fast bowlers, the players will have the opportunity to bowl longer spells in specially designed sessions. This focused approach aims to improve their skill levels and test their fitness under challenging weather conditions. Similarly, the batters will have the chance to bat for extended periods, a crucial requirement for the upcoming tour.

Fostering “The Pakistan Way” and Encouraging Integration:

Bringing players from various levels together will also foster the inculcation of “The Pakistan Way” in the upcoming players. This approach ensures they understand the expectations of the national side as they progress in their cricketing journeys. Moreover, this integration will enable young players to benefit from the experience and expertise of senior players in the side.

Exempted Players and Invited Participants:

Players who have received No-Objection Certificates to participate in County cricket or other leagues will continue their involvement in those commitments. However, Mohammad Nawaz (currently undergoing rehabilitation for a finger injury), Sarfaraz Ahmed (preoccupied with personal commitments), Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan (both traveling for Hajj) have been exempted from the camp.

The following list comprises the players who have been invited to participate:
