ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in connection to the Tosha Khana case.
Imran Khan has been indicted by a court established in Police Lines Islamabad, according to Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar.
However, Imran Khan refused to sign the health and crime documents during his court appearance. His lawyer, Sher Afzal Marwat, also confirmed that Imran Khan had requested that his case not be brought before the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court.
In a media statement, Sher Afzal Marwat explained that Imran Khan feels he has been subjected to insult and torture since his arrest. He further expressed concern about the use of police lines as courts, which he claimed was a first in Pakistan’s history.
