ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Market Committee has released the updated price list for vegetables, fruits, and other essential food items for today (04-02-2025), reflecting the latest market rates as of Tuesday, 4 February 2025.

The list includes common kitchen staples such as tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, and ginger, categorized into two quality grades—Grade 1 and Grade 2.

In recent weeks, the prices of tomatoes, Potatoes,  cabbage, and cauliflower have seen a significant drop, providing much-needed relief to consumers. Additionally, items like carrots, potatoes, and ginger are currently available at reasonable prices, further alleviating the financial strain on households.

To maintain transparency and ensure fair pricing, the price list is updated daily. Consumers are encouraged to review the official rates before purchasing to avoid overpaying. Any instances of overpricing or irregularities should be reported to the relevant authorities for immediate action.

Price list for Fruits in Islamabad 

The Islamabad Market Committee has released the official price list for fruits, effective Tuesday, 4 February 2025.

Kinnow, which has been fully ripe since January (last month), is now widely available in the market. Grade A kinnow is priced between PKR 352 and 374 per dozen. While some supermarkets and regions sell it by weight (kilogram), others offer it by the dozen. Smaller-sized and lower-quality kinnows are also available at more affordable rates, catering to a range of consumer preferences.

The updated list indicates that most fruit prices have remained stable, with only slight fluctuations observed in certain items—either a marginal increase or decrease. The list includes a variety of seasonal produce, such as bananas, oranges, apples, guavas, grapes, and other fresh fruits currently available in the market.

Today’s Official Price List for Chicken and Eggs in Islamabad – Tuesday, 4 February 2025:

The Islamabad Market Committee has announced the revised retail prices for live chicken (Zinda Murghi) and eggs, effective Tuesday, 4 February 2025.

As per the update, the price of live chicken today is set at Rs 415 per kilogram, while eggs are priced at Rs 230 per dozen. These revised rates have been implemented citywide to maintain fair and consistent pricing for consumers across Islamabad.
