PESHWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to increase the security of judges.
As per the report, the committee formed to increase the security of judges has prepared its recommendations, in which it has been suggested to provide security to judges posted in sensitive areas, in addition to their personal security, at their homes and on their routes.
Along with this, it has been decided to hand over the responsibility of identifying sensitive areas in terms of security to the CTD.
The committee has also recommended providing bulletproof vehicles to all benches of the High Court and including the security of District and Sessions Judges in Category A.
According to the document, one head constable and four constables will be deployed with District and Sessions Judges, and two constables will be deployed with Additional District and Sessions Judges.

The committee has also recommended the deployment of one constable each as security for Civil Judges, Senior Civil Judges, Judicial Magistrates, Family Court Judges, and Presiding Officers.
After cabinet approval, 116 personnel will be assigned for the security of District and Sessions Judges, 180 personnel for the security of Additional Sessions Judges, 87 personnel for the security of Senior Civil Judges, and 390 personnel for the security of Civil Judges.
