ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that free electric bikes will be provided to the top 120 students of the Federal Board.
As per report, the fourth meeting of the Electric Vehicles Policy was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, during which the federal government announced that free electric bikes will be provided to the top 120 students of the Federal Board. In addition, 39,000 electric bikes and 1,900 electric rickshaws will be provided on concessional loans.
Federal Minister for Energy Rana Tanveer Hussain directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to install charging stations at petrol pumps in Islamabad to promote the use of electric vehicles. The meeting on the Electric Vehicles Policy, chaired by the minister, resulted in important decisions.

Rana Tanveer Hussain said the entire process will be digitized to ensure transparency. He stated that under the Prime Minister’s vision, Islamabad will be transformed into a model city, serving as a role model for the world.
The minister also mentioned that the progress on constructing 40 new charging stations on motorways and highways has been reviewed and will be implemented soon. He expressed satisfaction with the CDA’s performance, saying these steps will promote electric vehicles and reduce environmental pollution.
These initiatives are crucial for overcoming the energy crisis and aim to make Pakistan a modern, eco-friendly nation.
