ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chief Commissioner of Islamabad , as the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) with immediate effect1.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a Grade 20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), assumed the charge of chief commissioner last week.
His appointment as CDA Chairman is due to his ex-officio membership on the CDA board under Section 6(2) of the CDA Ordinance, 1960. The Establishment Division issued a notification approving his appointment, emphasizing that he will hold the position until further orders1.
Before his current role, Randhawa served as the commissioner of Lahore. The Interior Division requisitioned his services for a key posting in Islamabad. Notably, his predecessor, Captain (Rtd) Anwaar-ul-Haq, also held the dual offices of Chief Commissioner and Chairman of the CDA
