During the Prime Minister’s visit, Tarar noted numerous meetings with Saudi ministers on the sidelines of the WEF, totaling 12 high-level engagements covering various sectors including finance, industries, investment, energy, and climate change.

He underscored the commitment expressed by Saudi ministers to enhance cooperation and investment in Pakistan, guided by the directives of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Tarar highlighted the significance of Prime Minister’s frequent interactions with the Saudi Crown Prince, including a visit by the Saudi Finance Minister and subsequent consultations on economic cooperation. He praised the initiatives as robust steps towards strengthening Pakistan-Saudi relations, with tangible outcomes already emerging from the Prime Minister’s visit.

Tarar mentioned the forthcoming visit of a delegation of Saudi businessmen to Pakistan, attributing it to the success of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s foreign policy. He also outlined the participation of Pakistani ministers and officials in meetings held during the WEF, underscoring Prime Minister Sharif’s stance on global peace.

Addressing concerns about online harassment and fake news, Tarar stressed the need for measures to protect digital rights and combat misinformation on social media. He emphasized the importance of public awareness and proposed suggestions to the government to address such challenges effectively.

Lastly, Tarar highlighted Prime Minister Sharif’s directives to increase wheat procurement targets to support farmers and bolster the rural economy.
