ISLAMABAD: The petrol price in Pakistan has been reduced by Rs5.45 per litre from Rs293.94 to Rs288.49 for the next fortnight in accordance with the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra).
As per an official notification issued by the Finance Division on Tuesday, the price of diesel has also been decreased by Rs8.42 per litre to Rs281.96 per litre. The Finance Division stated that the prices of petroleum products have been lowered due to a decline in crude oil prices in the global market over the past two weeks.
“The prices of petroleum products have observed a downward trend in the international market during the last fortnight.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has calculated the consumer prices based on the price fluctuations in the international market,” the notification stated.
