ISLAMABAD: As citizens prepare to vote today, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has emphasized the importance of presenting the original Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) for voting.
The ECP has conveyed to the public that it is mandatory to bring the original CNIC to the polling station on election day, without any exemptions.
Additionally, the commission has clarified that only the original CNIC will be deemed acceptable for casting a vote, with no other documents such as a CNIC copy, passport, or driving license being permissible.
Furthermore, the commission has stated that individuals with expired CNICs are still eligible to cast their votes.
