The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, could encounter challenges in her return to Hollywood, primarily due to her royal title.
Since her departure from the Royal Family in 2020, she has been featured in the Netflix docuseries “Harry and Meghan” and launched the “Archetypes” podcast on Spotify. While the docuseries received positive feedback, the podcast concluded after 12 episodes.
Speculation about Meghan’s Hollywood comeback arose after she signed with William Morris Endeavor (WME) last year, a prominent Hollywood talent agency representing celebrities like Dwayne Johnson and Adele.
Nevertheless, the prospect of her returning to acting might be impeded by her Duchess title. Eleanor Cora from Dauntless PR cautioned Meghan about the potential difficulty in convincing casting directors to look beyond the title.
“Meghan may face challenges in persuading casting directors to see beyond her Duchess title and grant her the desired roles,” she emphasized.
This development coincides with a recent controversy surrounding Meghan and Harry’s daughter Lilibet’s name.
According to a new royal biography by Robert Hardman, the couple allegedly did not seek late Queen Elizabeth’s permission to use the name, causing her to become “furious.”
