Apple has launched four new iPhones.
During an event, the company unveiled the iPhone 15 series, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The standout feature of this year’s models is the introduction of a new charging port.
Design and Processor:
The iPhone 15 series closely resembles last year’s iPhones in terms of appearance.
However, this year, all iPhones incorporate a dynamic island design into their displays, a feature previously exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro models.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro come with a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a 6.7-inch display.
The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus offer a 60 Hz screen refresh rate, whereas the Pro models boast an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max boasts the slimmest bezel of any smartphone available, measuring just 0.06 inches.
In terms of processors, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are equipped with the A16 Bionic processor found in last year’s iPhone 14 Pro models, while the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max feature the A17 Bionic processor.
Camera Setup:
This year, Apple has enhanced the camera setup across all iPhone 15 series models.
The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus sport a dual-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 48-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The iPhone 15 Pro retains the same three-camera configuration as the previous year’s iPhone 14 Pro, but with improvements. It features a 48-megapixel main camera, a 12.7-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 13.4-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max shares the main and ultra-wide cameras with the iPhone 15 Pro but introduces an exciting addition: a 12.7-megapixel telephoto camera equipped with a periscope lens, enabling users to achieve optical zoom ranging from 5x to 10x.
Arrival of USB Charging Port:
After years of rumors, a significant change became reality in 2023.
Following the European Union’s mandate for USB charging ports in all devices (scheduled to take effect in 2024), Apple has replaced the Lightning port.
All models in the iPhone 15 series now feature a USB Type-C port for charging, a long-awaited change requested by users.
This marks the first time in 11 years that Apple has made such a substantial alteration to iPhones.
Action Buttons and RAM:
For this year’s Pro models, Apple has replaced the silent switch with a multifunctional action button.
The iPhone 15 series Pro models also see an increase in RAM from 6GB to 8GB, while the other two models maintain 6GB of RAM.
Price:
The iPhone 15 starts at $799 for the 128GB storage model, and the iPhone 15 Plus is priced at $999 for the 128GB storage model.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro begins at $999 for the 128GB storage model, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1199 for the 256GB storage model.
