ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Islamabad Capital City Police has witnessed a significant promotion of its personnel, with a total of 180 officers ascending to higher posts.
The Promotion Committee for Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) convened a meeting under the leadership of Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer. During the meeting, six DSPs were granted approval for their elevation to the esteemed position of Superintendent of Police (SP).
Furthermore, the Departmental Promotion Committee successfully promoted 16 sub-inspectors to the rank of inspectors, while 64 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) were uplifted to the position of sub-inspectors. In addition, 83 head constables were recognized for their dedication and skills, and were consequently promoted to the rank of ASI. An office superintendent also received a promotion, attaining the esteemed position of administrative officer. These well-deserved promotions were bestowed upon the individuals over the course of the past month.
Looking ahead, the Islamabad Capital City Police aims to continue this momentum of professional growth by extending promotions to inspectors, elevating them to the rank of DSP, and also facilitating the progression of constables to head constables.
In a parallel development, the Chief Police Officer of Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani, took a proactive step by promoting 54 constables to the esteemed position of head constable, ensuring that deserving officers in the region are recognized and rewarded for their commitment and hard work.
