LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has declared that his party will hold daily rallies starting next week, leading up to the May 14th elections to the Punjab Assembly.
The announcement was made during a rally held in Lahore’s Lakshmi Chowk metro station on Saturday.
Khan spoke to workers and supporters, urging them to support the Constitution, Supreme Court, and Chief Justice of Pakistan.
The PTI held rallies in four cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Peshawar. Khan criticized the incumbent coalition government and accused them of putting pressure on and propagandizing against the Chief Justice and other judges. He stated that it was the decision of the entire nation to stand with the Constitution and against the government’s actions.
The PTI Chairman announced that the party would hold daily rallies until the May 14th elections, and he promised to lead the public in protest if the elections were not held. Khan emphasized that violating the Constitution would mean the end of justice and the rule of law. He warned that it would also mean the loss of freedom and that the people of Pakistan would become slaves. Khan vowed that the PTI would not rest until the elections were held and Pakistan was free.
