Railway restores Quetta train services from March 27 – Jaffar Express, Bolan Mail resume operations

ISLAMABAD: Federal Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi has announced that train operations in Quetta, which were suspended, will resume from March 27 (Thursday).

Speaking at a press conference in Quetta, Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi said that the Jaffar Express will leave Peshawar for Quetta on Thursday and start its journey from Quetta the day after tomorrow.

The Bolan Mail will run seven days a week. An Eid special train will depart from Quetta on March 29, with a 20 percent discount offered for the first three days of Eid.

He said that the attack on the Jaffar Express is one of the major incidents in the world. He expressed sadness over the loss of lives. Unarmed citizens were killed in the attack, and the terrorists targeted people based on language, nationality, and sects. The world has condemned this attack.

He added that the ongoing terrorism in the country is part of a plan against Pakistan. Some of our own people help the terrorists, which is why they succeed. Pakistan is the sixth nuclear power, and that is why efforts are being made to increase terrorism in the country.

Hanif Abbasi praised the country’s brave security forces. He said their response after the train attack was satisfactory. Commandos from the Zarar Company risked their lives to save people.

The Railway Minister said that killing one person is like killing all of humanity. It has been decided at both security and government levels that terrorists will be chased wherever they are. Security forces have eliminated many terrorists involved in the attack.

Earlier, Federal Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi visited Quetta Railway Station with Chairman Mazhar Ali Shah and Railway CEO Amir Baloch. They inspected the damaged coaches of the Jaffar Express affected by the attack.
