The song begins with a speech by the late Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Geelani Shaheed, where he addresses the crowd, saying that it is through our love for Islam that we are Pakistanis and Pakistan is our homeland.

It should be noted that, the governments of Punjab and Sindh have declared a public holiday on February 5 to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day. Notifications regarding this holiday have also been issued.

A notification from the Sindh government states that there will be one minute of silence at 10 AM on February 5 in honor of the Kashmiri martyrs.

Every year, Pakistanis observe February 5 as a day to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir. On this day, people form human chains on the roads connecting Pakistan with Kashmir and hold rallies and processions. Pakistanis and Kashmiris around the world view Kashmir Solidarity Day as an important day of unity.
