The development work at Karachi’s National Stadium for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be completed by mid-January.

The infrastructure of the new building being constructed at the stadium will be finished in the next 10 days, while the finishing touches will take another 2 to 3 weeks. Due to ongoing work in January, the Test match against the West Indies, scheduled for January 16, may have to be shifted to another city.

PCB Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, visited the National Stadium in Karachi last night.

Speaking to the media, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi said the building will be ready by January, but since work will continue, the West Indies Test match may be moved to another venue.
However, the tri-nation series matches will still be held in Karachi before the Champions Trophy to test the new facilities.

Naqvi also mentioned that the stadium’s fences are being replaced to ensure there is no obstruction in the view. After the renovation of the stands, fences will no longer be needed.
