ISLAMABAD: ICC Champions Trophy schedule has been revealed. Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the opening match in Karachi.
The highly anticipated Pakistan-India clash is expected to take place on February 23 at a neutral venue, likely Dubai. With matches planned across major cities like Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, cricket fans are in for an exciting event.
According to sources, the possible schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy has been released. The first match of the event will be played on February 19 between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi.
The high-profile match between Pakistan and India will take place on February 23 at a neutral venue, which is likely to be Dubai. A six-day support period has been scheduled before the event, from February 12 to 18. During this time, teams will arrive and practice.
According to the possible schedule, 3 matches will be played in Rawalpindi and Karachi. One semi-final and the final will be held in Lahore, along with 5 other matches.
The Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, with some matches at a neutral venue. Three matches are expected to be played at a neutral venue, most likely in Dubai.
If India reaches the final, it will also be played at a neutral venue. If India does not reach the final, it will be held in Lahore on March 9. A reserve day has also been kept for the final.
According to Indian media report, India is set to begin their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by a high-stakes clash with Pakistan on February 23. The group stage will conclude with a match against New Zealand on March 2.
