ISLAMABAD: Cells have been established at the federal, provincial, and district levels for the security of foreign nationals.
According to the media report, a comprehensive security framework has been prepared for the security of foreign nationals. According to the document, separate foreign security cells have been established at the federal, provincial, and district levels.
The report stated that, under the security framework, a Foreign National Security Cell has been established at the federal level, which will work under the Ministry of Interior. Similarly, Provincial Foreign Security Cells will perform their responsibilities at the provincial level.

Security cells have also been established in Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. District Foreigners’ Security Cells will ensure the security of foreigners for security arrangements at the local level.
Police, SPU, and SSU will perform security responsibilities for the security of foreign nationals.
In addition, the armed forces can be called upon for the security of foreign dignitaries. Government institutions sponsoring foreigners will nominate focal persons for security arrangements.
Furthermore, the Department of Tourism will be responsible for security arrangements for tourists and foreign journalists. The Department of Tourism will oversee the security of foreign diplomats, tourists, journalists, students, athletes, and religious pilgrims.
