ISLAMABAD: The federal government announced that it will open the Jinnah Avenue Underpass for traffic on December 25 for the citizens of Islamabad.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said during a visit to the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange in Islamabad that the Jinnah Avenue Underpass will be opened for traffic on December 25.
On this occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the contractor and the Islamabad administration for completing the underpass in just 43 days and said that after the construction of the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange flyover and loops is completed, it will be fully opened for traffic in the second week of February.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had given a deadline of 100 days for the completion of the project. The project has two parts: the underpass and the flyover.

On the other hand, CDA officials say that the underpass will be completed in 43 days, while the flyover will also be completed before the scheduled date.
Meanwhile, the minister also inspected the Serena Interchange project and said that it will be inaugurated in the first week of January, and the work on this project will be completed in 60 days.
The Interior Minister also met with the workers working on both projects and appreciated their work. He directed the workers, contractors, and CDA officials to continue working with the same enthusiasm and passion.

Mohsin Naqvi said that efforts are being made to provide world-class facilities to the citizens of Islamabad. The completion of these mega projects will significantly improve the traffic flow in Islamabad.
CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa apprised the federal minister about the progress made on both projects. The Deputy Commissioner, senior officers of CDA, and contractors were also present on the occasion.
