PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has launched a program for skill development and providing employment opportunities to the youth of the province.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department, Rs11.5 billion will be spent on the youth under the program. Sixty thousand youth of the province will be provided free training.
A total of twenty-five thousand (25,000) people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be provided with free internships, while the provincial education department has announced that grants of up to Rs 80,000 will be given to 42,000 youth.
These grants will be given to the youth of rural areas and merged districts, 37,000 youth graduates from government technical institutions, and 36,000 youth graduates from private technical institutions.

According to the Education Department, 806 people have been trained so far, and 312 applications for grants have been received.
On the other hand, the KPK government has decided to start a life insurance scheme from January 1, 2025.

As per report, A meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur decided to pay compensation for the death of the head of the family at a government hospital or a hospital on the health card panel.
It was decided in the meeting that Rs 500,000 would be paid in case of death before the age of 60. The life insurance for citizens will cost Rs 4.5 billion annually.
