Afghans now require NOC for residence in Islamabad, says Interior Minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that after December 31, no Afghan citizen will be able to stay in Islamabad without an NOC.

Speaking to media representatives during a visit to the site of the F-8 underpass under construction in the federal capital, Mohsin Naqvi said that Islamabad has returned to normal. The target for the flyover and underpass is 60 days. F-9 Road will already be opened. Work on the F-9 side is in full swing.

He said that ever since the protesters fled, there has been a clamor that so many bodies are in such-and-such a hospital. “I asked the protesters to tell the names of each of their bodies, but the protesters are not finding any way to hide their shame. I am asking the protesters to tell the names of which of your people has died. We will submit a comprehensive report regarding the protesters to the High Court.”

Mohsin Naqvi said that after December 31, Afghan citizens will not be able to stay in Islamabad without an NOC.

Later, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and DG Rangers Punjab, Major General Muhammad Atif Bin Akram, visited PIMS, where they met with the Rangers, FC, and police officers and soldiers injured in the attack by miscreants.

The Interior Minister and DG Rangers Punjab visited the injured officers and soldiers one by one, inquired about their well-being, and appreciated their high morale.

In their conversation with the injured, they said, “You are the heroes of the nation. You have thwarted the plans of the miscreants. We have faith in your bravery. Despite the mischief, you have shown patience and tolerance.”

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi gave instructions to the doctors for the best treatment of the injured soldiers.
