ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Ali Randhawa, serving as both the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner, chaired a meeting that concluded preparations for Eid ul Adha 2024.
During the meeting, it was determined that over 2,500 personnel will be involved in the sanitation efforts for Eid-ul-Adha. The meeting saw the presence of the deputy commissioner, senior officers from CDA, Islamabad Capital Territory, and Islamabad police.
A control center has been set up at Islamabad Safe City to oversee the special operations during Eid, operating under the supervision of the DIG Operations and deputy commissioner.
Following the guidance of the CDA chairman, special security measures have been implemented at mosques, imambargahs, markets, key buildings, and public areas.
More than 3,500 workers are scheduled to carry out duties in Rawalpindi. During the meeting, it was reported that the leaves of officers and officials from the Sanitation Directorate had been revoked. In addition to CDA officers, assistant commissioners will also oversee this special operation.

It was further informed that the city had been divided into five zones to ensure cleanliness. Zone-I includes sectors F-5 and F-6, Blue Area and Saidpur while Zone-II includes Faisal Mosque, sectors E-7, F-7, F-8 and G-8.
Similarly, sectors F-10, F-11, Golra Sharif, G-9, G-10, G-11 falls in Zone-IIIwhile Zone IV includes sectors H-8, H-9, H-10, H-11, I-8, I-9, I-10, I-11. Similarly, Zone-V includes areas of Islamabad Expressway, Model Village Humak, Shahzad Town, Rawal Town and Margalla Town.
Each zone will be supervised by the chief sanitary inspector while sanitary inspectors and supervisors will perform their services in the sectors.
Biodegradable bags are being distributed at no charge in both urban and rural areas of Islamabad during Bakra Eid for the disposal of animal waste.
