ISLAMABAD ( City Reporter): The Islamabad district administration refutes rumors suggesting the withdrawal of the notification that decreased the prices of roti and naan.
As per the district administration, the price of bread in the city remains at Rs. 16, while naan is priced at Rs. 20, as outlined in the notification.
The district administration maintains that following a court order, the weight of Roti will now be 100 grams instead of 120 grams. Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner has instructed all assistant commissioners of Islamabad to reassess the prices of bread and naan.
Furthermore, the administration urges citizens to purchase 100 grams of bread for Rs. 16 and 120 grams of naan for Rs. 20.
Earlier, there were reports indicating that the district administration had revoked the notification regarding Rs. 16 roti in Islamabad. It’s noteworthy that the president of the Naan Bai Association has contested the Deputy Commissioner’s notification in the Islamabad High Court.
