ISLAMABAD: The capital police have recently announced changes to their service fees, introducing new charges and increasing existing ones.
These adjustments cover a range of services like character certificate issuance and vehicle verification, aiming to streamline operations and generate additional revenue.
These fees have been endorsed by the Executive Board of the Islamabad Police.
Islamabad Police Service Charges (Fees):
- Character certificate issuance: Increased to Rs1,000 from being free of cost.
- Police general verification: Increased to Rs1,000 from being free of cost.
- Foreigners’ registration fee: Increased to Rs1,000 from Rs200.
- Motorcycle verification fee: Increased to Rs1,000 from Rs500.
- Vehicle verification fee: Increased to Rs1,500 from Rs1,000.
- Vehicle forensic verification fee: Increased to Rs3,500 from Rs2,500.
New Fees Structure:
- Character certificate issuance: Rs1,000.
- Motorcycle verification: Rs1,000.
- Vehicle verification: Rs1,500.
Existing Fees Structure:
- Swimming training (fortnight package): Rs20,000 per individual.
- Weapon Handling Course (two-day training): Rs7,000.
- Self-defense course (two-week course): Rs20,000.
- Self-defense course (one-day course): Rs5,000.
- Community Horse Riding Club (monthly fee): Rs15,000.
- Summer camp: Rs25,000.
- Winter camp: Rs25,000.
- Entry cards to Diplomatic Enclave (with one-year expiry): Rs4,000.
- Entry cards to Diplomatic Enclave (with one-year expiry): Rs2,500.
The notification also mandates that the in-charges and operators at various facilitation centers collect the specified fees in accordance with the official rates.
