Irfan began his run with a bye in the first round, allowing him to conserve energy for the tougher matches ahead. He wasted no time in the second round, securing a convincing 3-0 win against M. Lacrois (11-5, 11-8, 14-12). Irfan continued his winning streak in the quarter-finals, defeating A. Onaopemipo in straight sets (11-9, 11-8, 11-9).
The semi-finals presented a sterner challenge against R. Palamino. In a closely contested match, Irfan displayed remarkable resilience, overcoming a 2-1 set deficit to win 3-2 (9-11, 11-9, 11-2, 4-11, 11-4).
