ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State Antony Blanken recently engaged in a significant telephone conversation with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of Pakistan, focusing on vital matters pertaining to the nation’s economy and Afghanistan.
The discussion reflected the mutual determination to maintain a constructive partnership in Pakistan-US relations, as stated by the spokesperson of the US Foreign Office.
During the call, Antony Blanken empathized with the people of Pakistan, acknowledging their hardships caused by terrorism, and affirmed continued cooperation with the country in counter-terrorism efforts. Moreover, the two foreign ministers also delved into the implications of Russia’s war against Ukraine on Afghanistan’s peaceful and stable environment.
