SARGODHA : A devastating incident unfolded in the Bhalwal area of Sargodha when a gas cylinder suddenly exploded inside a passenger van, resulting in the loss of seven precious lives.
The unfortunate event caught the attention of local authorities, prompting an immediate response from the police and ambulance services. Swiftly, the rescue team arrived at the scene, swiftly evacuating the injured individuals to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment.
According to the police, a total of 21 passengers were onboard the ill-fated van during the incident. Shockingly, seven innocent lives were tragically cut short, while fourteen others sustained varying degrees of injuries as a direct consequence of the cylinder blast. The ill-fated vehicle was en route from Bhalwal to Kot Momin when the accident transpired, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.
In light of this distressing event, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, promptly intervened by summoning a comprehensive report from the Commissioner and RPO of Sargodha.
Expressing grave concern over the cylinder explosion in the passenger van, Naqvi urged for a thorough investigation into the matter to ascertain the cause behind the incident. Furthermore, he issued firm directives to ensure that the injured victims receive the best possible medical care and attention available.
