ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) apprehended popular TikToker Sundal Khattak on Monday in connection with a case involving the leakage of a video featuring fellow TikToker Hareem Shah.
The arrest took place following a hearing presided over by Special Judge Central Islamabad, where both Shah and the accused, Khattak, were present with their legal representatives.
During the proceedings, the defendant vehemently denied any involvement in the creation or dissemination of Shah’s video. Khattak claimed that Shah’s videos had been recently leaked and alleged that she had been subjected to years of harassment by the plaintiff.
“The accusations made by Hareem Shah are false, and she has been blackmailing me with indecent photos,” asserted Khattak, defending herself.
In response, Shah presented the aforementioned videos and pictures as evidence before the courtroom.
The prosecutor, while presenting arguments to the court, emphasized that TikTok videos are not typically shared to advocate for the freedom of Kashmir, as the nature of content created by TikTokers is widely known.
After considering the arguments presented, Special Judge Central Azam Khan denied Khattak’s application for bail, leading to her subsequent arrest.
Shah Anticipates Consequences of Her Threats Soon
Following the dismissal of her petition to file a case against her rival TikToker by a Peshawar court, Khattak expressed confidence that Shah would soon face the consequences of the threats she had directed towards her.
Khattak recently filed a petition, which was subsequently rejected by the court, alleging that Shah was engaging in the dissemination of negative propaganda against her on social media and making serious threats. However, despite her plea, Khattak stated that the FIA had failed to take any action against Shah.
Speaking with Private Media regarding the threats made by Shah, Khattak reiterated her denial of the allegations.
“I have received severe threats from Hareem Shah. She will soon face the repercussions of her actions. I am seeking security,” Khattak revealed, informing Private Media that she had visited a police station in Kirk to request protection.
