ISLAMABAD: The federal government has raised the fees for transferring ownership of vehicles and motorcycles in Islamabad. According to a notification from the Chief Commissioner’s Office, the new fees are effective from April 14, 2025.
New Vehicle Transfer Fees
- Vehicles up to 1000cc: Fee increased from PKR 1200 to PKR 2750.
- Vehicles from 1000cc to 1800cc: Fee increased from PKR 2000 to PKR 5500.
- Vehicles above 1800cc: Fee increased from PKR 3000 to PKR 11,000.
Electric Vehicle Fees Introduced
For the first time, transfer fees have been set for electric vehicles:
- Up to 50 kW: PKR 2500.
- 50 kW to 100 kW: PKR 5500.
- Above 100 kW: PKR 10,000.

Motorcycle Transfer Fees
- Motorcycles up to 200cc: Fee increased from PKR 150 to PKR 550.
- Motorcycles from 200cc to 400cc: PKR 1000.
- Motorcycles above 400cc: PKR 1500.
All fees must be paid into the account designated by the Ministry of Finance. Citizens are advised to follow the new fee structure during ownership transfers to avoid legal or financial issues. The government says this step aims to streamline the transfer process and increase revenue.
