ISLAMABAD/PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has decided to give December advance salary and pension to government employees of the Christian community.
According to media reports, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to give December advance salary, pension, and allowance to government employees of the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has issued a notification to all government departments.
In the notification, all government departments have been directed to give salaries, pensions, and allowances to government employees of the Christian community.
It should be noted that on December 25, the Christian community around the world, including Pakistan, will celebrate Christmas. On this occasion, cakes, chocolates, and candies of new styles, colors, and designs are also prepared.

According to the Christian community, Christmas is a festival of joy. It gives a message of peace and love. Eating sweets doubles the feeling of happiness.
In other news, the Punjab Assembly has passed the Punjab Bill 2024, revising the salaries of public representatives, with a majority vote. The revised salaries will take effect on January 1, 2025.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Peoples Party claimed they opposed the bill when it was presented in the House.
Following the bill’s approval, the monthly salary of each Punjab Assembly member will increase from Rs 176,000 to Rs 400,000. Similarly, the salary of provincial ministers will rise from Rs 100,000 to Rs 960,000.
The Speaker of the Punjab Assembly will see an increase in salary from Rs 125,000 to Rs 950,000, while the Deputy Speaker’s salary will change from Rs 120,000 to Rs 150,000.
