PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced an increase in the Chief Minister’s Education Endowment Fund from Rs 1.2 billion to Rs 2.4 billion. He stated that tuition fees in all government higher education institutions would be reduced by half next year.
Addressing a scholarship distribution ceremony under the Chief Minister’s Education Endowment Fund at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar, Ali Amin Gandapur said the provincial government would make every effort to halve tuition fees in government higher education institutions (Colleges & Universities) starting from the next financial year.
For this purpose, they are working to increase the province’s revenue through its own resources. He highlighted that the provincial government’s income has increased by 44 percent in the last nine months.

Additionally, an endowment fund worth Rs 2 billion has been established to provide free education up to grade XII for girls and orphaned children in the province.
The Chief Minister assured that the provincial government would provide full support to the youth. He announced that the Chief Minister’s Education Endowment Fund has been increased from Rs 1.2 billion to Rs 2.4 billion.
To date, scholarships worth Rs 615 million have been awarded to 526 students, including 366 undergraduates and 150 graduates, under the Chief Minister’s Education Endowment Fund.
