Faisalabad : Doctors at Children’s Hospital Faisalabad operated on and removed a baby from the stomach of a 25-day-old newborn girl.
According to media reports, Zainab, the newborn daughter of Amanat Ali, a resident of a nearby village of Faisalabad, was brought to the children’s hospital due to constant flatulence.
According to doctors, the baby’s stomach was constantly swollen. Medical examinations and tests showed that there was a baby inside the stomach, after which doctors decided to operate.
The baby was successfully removed from the baby’s stomach after 25 days. According to doctors, this was a rare case. Medical experts say this is called “fetus in fetu” in medical jargon, and cases like this are rare.
The first such case occurred in 1945. A fetus of twins forms in the uterus, but instead of one being completely absorbed, it becomes entangled in the other child and remains in the womb of the healthy baby as human remains, continuing to grow to a certain extent.
The girl’s condition after the operation is reported to be out of danger.
