LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced plans for the establishment of the inaugural state-operated cancer hospital in Valencia Town, Lahore, on Monday.
During her visit to the proposed site of the hospital, she received a briefing on various project details.
Maryam Nawaz instructed the facilitation of top-tier doctors from across the globe for the upcoming cancer hospital and also mandated the construction of a dining facility for the support of attendees of cancer patients.
She emphasized that treatment at the inaugural government cancer hospital in Punjab would be provided free of charge, highlighting the availability of highly skilled medical professionals and cutting-edge medical equipment.
Accompanying Maryam Nawaz were former senator Pervez Rashid, MPs Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Sania Ashiq, and Dr. Adnan. The presence of the Punjab chief secretary and other officials was also noted.
