LAHORE: In a significant electoral triumph, Shehbaz Sharif, the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former prime minister, secured both provincial and national assembly seats in Lahore, as indicated by unofficial results.
Shehbaz Sharif emerged victorious in the NA-123 constituency of Lahore with an impressive 63,953 votes, according to unofficial tallies. Afzal Azim Pahat, an independent candidate, came in second with 48,486 votes.
Likewise, in the Punjab Assembly Constituency PP 158, Shehbaz Sharif won with 38,642 votes. His nearest rival, independent candidate Chaudhry Yusuf Ali, received 23,847 votes.
These dual wins for Shehbaz Sharif underscore the enduring backing for PML-N in Lahore and demonstrate voters’ trust in his leadership and vision for the constituency and province.
