ISLAMABAD: In a positive development for bilateral relations, Pakistan and Iran have agreed to bring back their ambassadors to their respective capitals by January 26, 2024, following a telephonic conversation between the two countries’ foreign ministers.

This marks a crucial step towards repairing ties that were strained in recent days due to cross-border airstrikes. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry, in a press release issued today, announced the decision and further revealed that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian will be visiting Pakistan at the invitation of his counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani on January 29, 2024.

The upcoming visit is expected to primarily focus on solidifying relations between the two nations and addressing regional concerns of shared interest.
