During his visit, accompanied by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, the Secretary General of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Bilawal paid tribute to the Model Town martyrs by laying a wreath at their memorial. Additionally, he applied for and obtained a life membership in Minhaj-ul-Quran.

Bilawal articulated his vision to transform Pakistan into a model state, presenting the authentic face of Islam to the global community. He expressed confidence that through collective efforts, they would showcase the peaceful image of Pakistan to the world.

Advocating for an impartial inquiry into the Model Town tragedy, Bilawal asserted the legitimacy of demands for justice and emphasized the need to remove legal obstacles, holding those responsible accountable.

In reference to restoring ties with Minhaj-ul-Quran, Bilawal highlighted his late mother Benazir Bhutto’s life membership in the organization, underscoring the family’s longstanding connection. He commended the institute for projecting Islam’s peaceful identity worldwide and called for an end to political and societal animosity.

Bilawal also praised Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for his global religious efforts promoting peace and combatting extremism. In a significant declaration, PAT’s Khurram Nawaz Gandapur announced the party’s support for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in NA-127, citing the historical relationship between Minhaj-ul-Quran and Benazir Bhutto, now extending to the second generation with Bilawal’s life membership.
