PESHAWAR: Security forces carried out an intelligence-driven operation in the outskirts of Peshawar resulting in the elimination of four militants, among them a prominent terrorist commander, announced the military’s media wing on Thursday.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed that the mission took place in Badaber, Peshawar District, acting on information about the presence of terrorists in the region.
Pakistani troops effectively confronted the individuals involved, leading to the demise of the four terrorists, including a significant figure named Samiullah, also known as “Shenay.”
The ISPR highlighted that the wanted individuals—terrorist commander Salman, alias “Ahmed,” Imran, alias “Muhammad,” and Hazrat Umar, alias “Khalid”—were long sought after by law enforcement agencies.
The statement by ISPR mentioned the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased terrorists, emphasizing their active participation in various terrorist activities, including extortion and targeted killings in the area.
