Punjab Education Boards Unify Result Cards Statewide
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

LAHORE: In a significant move aimed at streamlining the education system, the authorities have made the decision to introduce a uniform result card for all education boards across Punjab.

This decision will apply to the 4.5 lakh students who recently appeared for exams under the nine different education boards in the region.

Instead of displaying the respective district names, the result cards will now prominently feature “Punjab Board” for all students.

One of the key benefits of this decision is the simplification and standardization of the result card format, bringing consistency and clarity to the academic records of students across the state. With this change, the boards will issue the result cards for all the children on the same day, ensuring a more efficient and organized process.

During the meeting of the Punjab Board Committee of Chairman (PBCC), several important decisions were taken to improve the education system further. Alongside the introduction of the uniform result card, it was agreed to increase the passing marks for students to 40%. This move is aimed at encouraging better performance and ensuring a higher level of academic achievement among the students.

Moreover, the PBCC extended interim bail till tomorrow in six cases related to the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), indicating ongoing developments in the political landscape that could impact the education sector.

The final approval for the implementation of these crucial decisions will be granted in the upcoming meeting of the Punjab Board Committee of Chairman, where formal agreements and protocols will be established.
