ISLAMABAD: In a recent announcement, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) revealed the eagerly awaited summer vacation schedule for model schools, colleges, and ex-FG colleges operating under its jurisdiction. The summer break is scheduled to commence on 10 June, providing students and faculty with a well-deserved respite, and will conclude on 31 July.
As the summer draws to a close, the academic process will resume on 1 August, marking the beginning of another productive school year.
Enhancing Educational Environment during Summer Break
During this extended summer break, educational institutions will engage in a range of activities to ensure smooth operations and enhance the learning environment.
These activities include the physical verification of stock and stock checking, aimed at maintaining accurate inventories and facilitating efficient resource allocation.
Furthermore, repair and maintenance work will be undertaken to ensure the durability and functionality of furniture, buildings, and playgrounds, creating a safe and conducive atmosphere for students. Additionally, an in-house Capacity Development Program (CDP) will be conducted in the last week of July, focusing on empowering faculty members and fostering professional growth.

Summer Vacation in Punjab:
Meanwhile, last month, the Punjab government announced the summer vacation schedule for schools throughout the province.
The School Education Department (SED) finalized the dates, and the summer holidays are set to commence on 6 June. With an extended break, students will have ample time to unwind and explore various recreational activities.
The summer vacation in Punjab will last until 20 August, allowing students to rejuvenate before embarking on a new academic year, which is scheduled to commence on 21 August.
Sindh Government’s Summer Vacation Schedule:
Similarly, the Sindh government also announced the summer vacation schedule for schools and colleges within the province.
The summer holidays in Sindh began on 1 June and will continue until 31 July, offering students and educators a chance to recharge and spend quality time with family and friends. The education institutions are expected to reopen their doors on 1 August, signaling the start of the upcoming academic session.
