KHUZDAR : An explosion targeting the vehicle of the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Khuzdar Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station resulted in the SHO’s martyrdom on Thursday, according to the Khuzdar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Fahad Khosa.
The incident occurred near Jhalawan Medical College on the National Highway when the SHO, identified as Sharbat Khan Umrani, was en route to work.
The SSP reported that a bomb had been planted in the CTD official’s vehicle. Following the explosion, police and security forces, along with the bomb disposal squad, promptly arrived at the site to assess the extent of the damage. The martyred SHO’s body was transported to the District Headquarters Hospital.
On April 11, four Quetta CTD personnel were martyred during a fierce gun battle with terrorists in the Killi Spin area of Kuchlak town, while one alleged terrorist was also killed in the operation.
