ISLAMABAD: Naseer Soomro from Pakistan, known as one of the tallest people in the world, has died at the age of 56, according to his family. He had been dealing with breathing problems and joint pain for many years.
Soomro, who was 7 feet 9 inches tall, brought attention to Pakistan because of his height. He was considered one of the tallest men in the country.
Before him, Alam Channa held that title, and after Channa’s death, Soomro became well-known. Later, Zia Rashid from Multan, who is 8 feet tall, took over that recognition.
Born in Shikarpur, Sindh, Soomro lived in Karachi and worked for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). In the past, false rumors about his death spread because of his health issues.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah shared his sadness over Soomro’s passing. He said, “I offer my condolences to Naseer Soomro’s family. May he rest in peace, and may his family find strength during this tough time.”
It should be noted that, In May 2019, social media claimed he had died, but the French news agency AFP proved those reports wrong.
